22 dj's over 10 hours in 4 areas that have been transformed for your dancing and chilling pleasure. The best local faire in breaks, house, electro, progressive, techno, trance, and chill. Double headline action with Uberzone tagging w/ the Bassbin Twins. Free breakfast, belly dance, a truly opulent chill area with mats, furs, pillows, etc., a sunrise together, a community gathering of the good, the funky and the beautiful.

Your friends at Opel & In Deep (the boyz behind the Deep End camp) present 'Closing Party 2007'. This is an annual pre-NYE party we do to get all our friends together in a low cost - low pressure joint before we all scatter on NYE. We ask the djs to play their favorite tracks for the year, so it turns into a little 'best of' session to close out the year together. With friends from House of Lotus, Space Cowboys, Tahoe Breaks, Nomads, etc. joining the crews that make up Opel, Opulent Temple, the Deep End and In Deep.

In a time of war, it's pretty awesome San Francisco gets to play host to an event that takes over the streets, the Civic Center plaza, and even City Hall to celebrate the values our country needs a lot more of :: tolerance, understanding, strength in diversity, the power of unity and yes- Love. Only in the progressive city of SF, always ahead of the national curve, could this event happen. As a main stay of the city's fun options, Opel is proud to throw our hat in the ring and make our own declaration and statement at this event - Love Rules. It sounds like hippy shit, but that doesn't mean its not true. We are not going to hate or bomb or bully our way out of the world's problems. To co-exist without domination that only serves to breed violence, we need to find love in our hearts for ourslves and our fellow human. That's what we have to say, and we will say it through music, dance, and community

Gina's Pics of Opel parties - Opel specializes in conscious parties with kick ass line ups of electronic music djs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our intention is to use the dance community as a positive vehicle of change in the community and the world. We believe the Bay Area dance community is in a unique position to be a catalyst for moving the greater society in a more conscious direction, in fact we feel that if we don't do this, the future looks very bleak for all of us. We're dance enthusiasts tired of a world without substance, we're funky freaks trying to encourage some change, one party at a time.
