My first instinct after regaining consciousness was to snap a self-portrait. Why not know just how bad it was? Blackout time: 15-20min (based on time left house and time stamp on photo)

Mark Sikes: riding up Page randomly and saw some dude laid out in the street. Luckily, it was some fool he went to UCSC with. When he arrived on the scene a small group of kids were standing around and pointing at me, apparently it was too much trouble to call for help or anything...

My task for the evening: make the flower arrangements come alive, right arm be damned. Catherine from Wiggy Flowers (.com) serves it up right. Check the orange slices suspended in the crystal jelly muck!

Advice from BigBrotherNick: "Next time don't be afraid to hit him. The way modern science is today, that kid would be fine in 2 weeks..."

Funny thing: folks keep asking if the kid may have done it on purpose. I'm really not sure as my memory is kinda spotty (yeah, I _did_ crack my helmet). I'd like to think it was just a random fluke and the ungrateful bastard (conveniently there were no witnesses) wasn't paying attention. Both parties need to ride/walk as if their life depended on it.

What could have easily been my head without a helmet. I don't care how cool you think you are without one, I still insist I will NOT visit anyone in the hospital who opted not to wear a "brain bucket" on a ride.

Things to toast to: no broken bones, no missing teeth/jaw wired shut, no paralysis, no noggin damage, etc... T* mentioned I was lucky I wasn't run over while lying unconscious in the middle of the street (shudder).
