Tribal Fest 2006 in Sebastapol California organized by Kajira of Black Sheep Bellydance, an annual bellydance festival devoted to tribal style bellydance. A weekend full of workshops, vending, performances and lots of good times. Various pics while vending Indigo merchandise of many friends and aqaintances. There is so much to see and do, but alas here is a small glimpse. I am deeply sad that I didn't get any pics of Kajira and Black Sheep Bellydance, the oranizers of the festival, my deepest gratitude to Kajira and Chuck and all the organizers who put this on and hopefully next year I will be paparazi and get 100000000 shots of you guys. Special thanks and heartfelt gratitude to Mark Rahmani of mvgals.net for letting the bellydance community dominate mvgals! Love you so much Mark! Thank you again!

Rakkasah is a bellydance extravaganza in Richmond California at the Richmond Civic Auditorium featuring 2 stages of bellydancers and hundreds of venders. You probably already know. These are some pics I took while working the 26th Annual festival at Ansuya's table promoting her All New Hot Combinations DVD. This by no means captures the essence of the whole festival, there is so much to see and do. It was so much fun. To reuse, please just credit gina g of mvgals.net. Pogonometric Revue 2006, Rachel Brice, Mardi Love and Elizabeth Strong with The Toids, Brass Managerie, the Inkwell Rhythm Makers and special appearance by Mira Betz at Cell Space. This also served as the cd release party for the Toid's new cd, "Unblocked Ears" and was the first time that RB is home in SF to do a show, wonderful, special night!!! Album: Suhaila Christmas Party at Monteros
Suhaila's annual holiday party at Monteros, where dancers from Suhaila dance company, Bal Anat and students from the Suhaila School of Dance perform and share in the holiday season. Also special guest Paulette Rees-Denis from Portland, Oregan, director of the Gypsy Caravan - Portland, Oregon's acclaimed contemporary tribal bellydance troupe. Tatseena & The Good Vibrations present the BELLY DANCE FANTASY FESTIVAL October 8th & 9th, 2005. This was a great festival!! Included tribal and caberet. I wish more people went to it, because the days were full of wonderful dancers including Fat Chance Bellydance, Black Sheet, Nana, Malia and Phillipe, and so many more. Tatseena put so much love into the festival. I was so happy to go. I sat and vended Tuareg jewlery and sold tickets to the Niger benefit show with Palinor love warrier and Nora. Pics by Gina G. The Fulani, Tuareg and Wodaabe peoples, among others, may lose their nomadic way of life in 2005, as a result of severe drought and locust infestation. A small donation could make the difference between a free, nomadic life, and poverty in the slums for those who survive. Don't wait until it's too late. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Flash Appeal for Niger states that "3.6 million of Niger's 12 million inhabitants are directly affected by this food crisis. 800,000 children under-five are suffering from hunger, including 150,000 who are currently showing signs of severe malnutrition." TRIBAL QUEST NORTH WEST in Portland Oregan with days filled of fun, workshops, performances, shopping, hanging, bonding and much more. This is a must attend event with some of the finest names in the Tribal bellydance scene in North America. I was so happy to be able to capture some of the events, but not all. This was all made possible with the leadership of Paulette of Gypsy Carvan who spent a whole year organizing the festival. I already look forward to next year!
